Appointment System

To make an appointment with a doctor or for the treatment room please telephone the surgery on 028 90 641506.

Routine Appointments

For non-emergency appointments please telephone the surgery and make a routine appointment to see the doctor of your choice.  At times the wait for a specified doctor may be longer than others.

On-The-Day Appointments

We have a small number of on-the-day appointments each morning which should only be requested for an urgent problem.  If you are unable to get an on-the-day appointment for an urgent problem you can request a telephone call from a doctor to discuss your problem initially.  Please ensure that you leave an up to date contact number.

Mobile Phones

Please ensure your mobile phone is switched off during the consultation to avoid any unnecessary interruptions.

Appointments are for 10 minutes only

If you require a longer appointment please let the receptionist know and we will try and accommodate your request.  Sometimes patients problems can unexpectedly take longer than usual and may cause a delay.  If this happens, we ask you to be patient.

If you require an interpreter please advice the receptionist, as this will require a longer appointment.

Private Medical Examinations

If you require an appointment for a private medical examination e.g. HGV licence or a Taxi licence please let the receptionist know so that a longer appointment can be arranged.  For private medical examinations (i.e. non-NHS), a fee will be payable.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

Please remember to cancel your appointment if no longer required.  Even at short notice we can usually give it to someone else who may need it.

Home Visits

If a home visit is requested for someone who is too ill to come to the surgery, please telephone the surgery as soon as possible (ideally before midday).  The doctor will usually phone you during the morning to discuss your problem.

Please remember that it takes much longer to travel to see you at home and visits will be reserved for those who are housebound or too ill to visit the practice.  The doctor may phone you to discuss your request for a house call.

Please note, transport difficulties are not an appropriate reason for a home visit.
